Change Commitment into Reality

I’ve been pondering Brene Brown’s vulnerability talk again this week. I’ve noticed that I’m being ‘called out’ for want of a better word to step-up into the frame.

I have a clear vision and ongoing purpose to make a big difference to the humanity in leadership and I am doing this more and more every day.

However, what I’m getting now is the reality of what my journey and results are going to take in me and my leadership – FULL participation. Not me having a notion if what my results looks like, dipping my toe in, seeing what comes my way, getting caught up with the day-to-day. That’s an approach for sure and one that works to a degree.

To create the difference that I really want long term this means stepping fully into my purpose and vision that I am creating AND putting my weight behind it. Fully. This means courage – stepping up, putting myself forward, putting myself in the frame, asking for what I want (even if I have no idea if I’ll get a yes or no), being honest, being real, enrolling others in my vision, not waiting for permission and most of all being seen. Even if I feel unsure and vulnerable at times.

Are you fully participating in your leadership vision?
