Educational Leadership Purpose – Reactive or Proactive?
I’ve had lots of conversations this week with school clients about the importance of purpose and actually pinning down both a SMART result and being clear about intention.
How can we achieve a result if we don’t actually know what we are going for? Aren’t we then in danger of getting into ‘taking what we can get’ rather having a clear strategy that is going to gets us to the results we really want?
For me there is a huge difference. One is reactive based on what comes my way. The other is me being courageous, putting myself forward and going for the result I committed to.
